Make your own Sunblock with Essential Oils

Make your own Sunblock with Essential Oils

I always wear sunscreen, but hate putting chemicals on my skin. Here is a recipe to make your own sunscreen using essential oils (which you can purchase here). The key is to use the therapeutic grade oils that will not harm your skin. Now go out and enjoy summer without the worry….

Ingredients

5 oz.  organic grape seed oil (or any other light oil of your choice)

1/2 oz.  beezwax pellets

4 oz. distilled water

2 Tbsp. powdered zinc oxide

1 tsp. Sulfurzyme*

10 drops Purification oil*

5 drops Lavender oil*

5 drops Frankincense oil*

5 drops Carrot Seed oil*

Using a double boiler, add oil and beeswax pellets to the small boiler in boiling water. Remove when the pellets are melted and add then to the distilled water. Use a hand mixer to mix until ingredients are smooth and thick. Add zinc, Sulferzyme and essential oils to cream. Pour in dispensing bottle.

Oils with * may be purchased here.
