Yoga is not just for Yogis

As I read this I thought about times in my life where I was in pain, stressed out, grieving, anxious, or depressed. We all experience these situations throughout various points of our lives. How do we deal with it? Some suppress it, others medicate, some may bury themselves in their work, and others may resort to drugs or alcohol. At any point in anyones life we may resort to one, if not all of these.

Yoga, I find connects me with my body and mind. With it I can control not only my muscles but my breath, emotions, and mental state. It helps me cope better with everyday situations that arise.

Using my personal experience coupled with my certifications in Yoga Therapy, Reiki, and Urban Zen Integrative Therapy, I have been able to use that to help my clients deal with chronic pain, stress, trauma and loss, grief, and anxiety.

If you struggle with any of these and want a healthy way to deal with it, please, know you are not alone. We can help you. You don’t have to be a Yogi, I don’t really consider myself one…:)
